The Teen Choice Awards is turning 20 and continues to celebrate the best of television, music, film, sports, comedy and digital. The 2018 edition of this companion to the Kids’ Choice Awards takes place on Sunday, August 12 and will air live from the Forum in Los Angeles on Fox beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The movie nominations are dominated by blockbusters like “Avengers: Infinity War”, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Black Panther”. Among TV shows, “Riverdale” and “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments” reaped a leading five nominations each while “The Flash” and “Stranger Things” have four bids apiece. On the music front, a quartet of singers – Cardi B, Drake, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift – lead with three nominations each. Among the other musical artists in contention are past “American Idol” winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton and one-time One Direction bandmates Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Fans are allowed 10 votes per category, per day, per platform user ID. To vote via Twitter, tweet a category hashtag with the nominee’s name.
